It’s parade season in Utah, and U.S. Senate candidate Mike Kennedy is taking advantage of the summer festivities to shake every hand he can. As the underdog in the Republican primary for Utah’s open seat, he says it's a must.

Mitt Romney was the first prominent Republican in Utah to say he believed the woman who said Roy Moore tried to have sex with her when she was 14. Moore denies the allegation, but now other high profile Republicans are calling for him to quit the U.S. Senate race in Alabama.

Utah Democrats have chosen Misty Snow as their nominee to challenge Republican Senator Mike Lee. With the win, Snow becomes the first transgender person to be nominated by a major political party for a U.S. Senate Seat.
