Salt Lake City, UT – A brilliant meteor lit up the sky across much of the West last night. People reported seeing the light in the sky from Idaho to southern Utah. Some even reported a sound like a sonic boom. Security cameras a the University of Utah's new Willard L. Eccles Observatory caught the flash as it lit up the mountaintop at Frisco Peak like daylight.
