Utah Company InsideSales.com Named Top Disruptor

Jun 9, 2016

The Provo-based company InsideSales.com has been named on CNBC’s list of top 50 companies in the country poised to unseat corporate giants.

InsideSales.com, with its cloud-based sales acceleration technology, is the first Utah company to be recognized as a Disruptor 50 in the four years of the program. In its list, CNBC identified companies that have found unexploited niches in the marketplace and have the potential to revolutionize the business landscape.

“Think Uber disrupting the transportation industry or think Airbandb disrupting the hospitality industry,” says Mike Plante, Vice President of Marketing for InsideSales.com. “I think as the first company here in Utah, we’re kind of helping further put Silicon Slopes on the map as a hotbed for the kinds of innovation and disruption that can change the world.”

The company now has about 650 employees, mostly in Utah. It has experienced triple-digit revenue growth year over year and has attracted more than 200 million in venture capital. Devin Thorpe is a Forbes contributor based in Salt Lake City.

“I think there is no question that all of these companies are good for Utah because what they’re doing is disrupting global economics and building jobs mostly in Utah. Those disruptions will be painful to some people, but we will generally benefit,” Thorpe says.

InsideSales.com is not public about its value, but CNBC estimates it’s worth 1.4 billion dollars.
