South India: The Silk Route, Spices & Splendid Temples
November 7–23, 2013 • 17 days, 14 nights
Sri Lanka Post-Tour Extension: November 22–30, 2013

See remarkable temples  including the twin-spired Shore Temple at Mahabalipuram and the palace of ThirumalaiNayak in ancient Madurai. Fly to Kochi (Cochin) and board the luxury MV Vrinda for a two-night cruise through the backwaters of tropical Kerala. Aboard the Vrinda and a traditional kettuvallam, or rice boat, you’ll absorb the lush river environment and gain insights into regional village life. Your trip ends with a city tour of Mumbai (Bombay), India’s financial and entertainment industries. You may choose to extend your stay for a week-long tour of Sri Lanka, the tropical island nation near India’s southeast coast.
