David Ramirez will be at Kilby Court on Tuesday, November 17th.

Sarah Vowell blends laugh-out-loud comedy with credible history.  Her latest, Lafayette in the Somewhat United States(Riverhead Books), explains how the Marquis de Lafayette won over some very cranky tax protestors.  In her review, Betsy Burton says Vowell’s “weaving of preset-day politics, the personal and the past, might annoy some, but for me she lights up that past until it illuminates the present.”

Kilby Court recently celebrated its 16th anniversary.  To commemorate it, Austen Diamond highlights a few of the shows upcoming at this all-ages music venue.

Georgia-based Reptar mashes up a few genres to create energetic, danceable music.  They’ll play on Monday, November 16th.

Singer-songwriter David Ramirez is touring his new album “Fables.”  He’ll take the stage on Tuesday, November 17th.

Rowdy Americana band Onward ETC performs on Saturday, November21st.

2: "Rock and a Hard Place" by David Ramirez
