Dan Deacon performs at the Urban Lounge on May 10th.

In What Comes Next and How to Like It (Scribner), the new memoir by Abigail Thomas, a lifelong friendship accompanies the author as she ascends into old age. Betsy Burton says the book is "moving, wise, and vastly comforting."

Austen Diamond says Dan Deacon's live shows aren't like any concert you've been to before. Audience members are advised to brush up on their Simon Says skills. Deacon performs at Urban Lounge on Sunday, May 10th.

Before that, though, get your Scottish rap fix with Young Fathers.  They'll be at Urban Lounge on May 6th. Doors open at 8:00pm.

And local band Bullets and Belles celebrate the release of their new record "READY" at The State Room on May 9th.
