Books & Beats: April 25, 2015

Betsy Burton reviews Antonio Ruiz-Camacho's debut collection of stories Barefoot Dogs (Scribner). She says you'll be "dazzled by the narrative, wondering, sometimes laughing."  Ruiz-Camacho will be at The King's English on Thursday, April 30th.

And Austen Diamond thinks Lady Lamb's second release easily avoids the problems had by many other musicians' sophomore efforts.  She's playing at at Kilby Court on Friday, May 1st.

Austen recommends checking out Tennis too.  They'll be at the Urban Lounge on Tuesday, April 28th.  And local band Strong Words has a new record out called Come Clean.
