Salt Lake City, Utah – Along the highways and in communities throughout America - independent diners beckon travelers not just with time-tested recipes - but with character. Michael Stern's mission is to chronicle the most memorable eateries. Stern and his wife Jane are the authors of more than 40 books - including the good-eats guide "Roadfood." Tuesday on RadioWest, Michael Stern joins us to talk about what makes the best restaurants and to share his own Utah favorites.

  • On Saturday, October 3, Jane and Michael Stern will be in Utah as part of the Dewey Lecture Series at the Salt Lake City Public Library. The lecture begins at 7:00 p.m. in the Main Library auditorium. Free tickets are available at all City Library locations one week prior to the lecture. For more information, click here or call (801) 524-8200.
