Salt Lake City, Utah – As a rule, patients have the right to decline treatment. But if a patient is facing a mental illness diagnosis, that refusal is often viewed as a symptom of the disease. There are many thorny issues surrounding psychiatric care, from the legal to the ethical. On Friday, we'll talk about what is happening and what should happen when patients refuse treatment.
