4/6/06: The Kitchen Sisters

By Doug Fabrizio

Salt Lake City, UT – Good radio not only tells you a story, but it tells you a story that holds you in place, that captures your imagination, that makes you "see" the world in a whole new way. Very few sound producers weave a tale like the Peabody award-winning Kitchen Sisters - Davia Nelson and Nikki Silva. They are the creators of Lost & Found Sound, an end of century national collaboration heard on NPR, The Sonic Memorial Project, the 9/11 anniversary program and, most recently, Hidden Kitchens, the first piece of food journalism to win a duPont-Columbia Award. Nelson and Silva join Doug Fabrizio to talk about the craft of sound and the stories they bring to life.
