4/26/07: Utah's Fraying Social Safety Net

By Jennifer Napier-Pearce

Salt Lake City, UT – A new report shows many Utahns are struggling to find and pay for health care, housing and education, and concludes the situation isn't getting any better. The United Way is targeting 17 social ills it says need critical attention. Thursday on RadioWest, guest host Jennifer Napier-Pearce talks with Deborah Bayle Nielsen and Bill Crim of the United Way and Steve Kroes of the Utah Foundation about the study and how to strengthen the social safety net for Utahns in crisis.
