Salt Lake City, UT – For years now, the nuclear waste management company EnergySolutions has been pressing officials to let them bring radioactive waste from Italy to their facility in Clive, Utah. In the last few weeks though, they went all in. The company offered the state the ultimate temptation - a cut of the profits. It means hundreds of millions - maybe even a billion dollars in a time when money is tight. It seems clear the deal is dead in the legislature this year, but the story isn't over. Tuesday, we're talking about EnergySolutions' deal-making and litigation and what it all means for Utah.
