Last weekend, Gov. Spencer Cox was booed at the 2024 Republican Nominating Convention. Utah Republicans have traditionally leaned more moderate, even if in past conventions, moderate politicians Mitt Romney, Gary Herbert, Mike Leavitt and Bob Bennett were all booed. Still, they went on to win over voters in the primary, which also will likely be the case for Gov. Cox this year. We’re asking how things are changing in Utah’s Republican Party and what that means for this year’s elections.
