West Valley City has become the first municipality in Utah to set up the Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy, or C-PACE, program.

Utah is about to become a hub for wind energy information in the Four Corners states, with financial assistance from the U.S. Energy Department and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory.

Sarah Wright is director of Utah Clean Energy, the nonprofit that will head up the information clearinghouse for wind energy, the Four Corners Wind Resource Center.

Rocky Mountain Power plans to offer 50 million dollars of incentives for consumers and businesses who install solar power panels over the next five years.  The Public Service Commission of Utah has approved the utility company’s request for a program that will support 60 Megawatts of new solar energy.
