Fall is here and that usually means that farmers markets are beginning to close. But the crowds and the harvests are so big this year that the Ogden Farmers Market is extending its season.

In fact, it’s been a record summer for the farmers market at Ogden’s historic 25th Street. More than 100,000 people have already come out to buy local honey, baked goods, produce and crafts this year, so organizers have decided to keep it open through October 10.

Downtown farmer’s market enthusiasts won’t have to fret when the summer market ends this later this month. The winter market will open for business November 9th.

At the winter market patrons can grab a bite to eat from a food truck and do a little shopping for things like produce, meat and breads from more than 50 local vendors from across the state.

The market will be open every other Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm at the Rio Grande Depot.

Downtown Farmers Market Extends Summer Hours

The Downtown Farmers Market opens for the summer this Saturday in Pioneer Park. Vendors selling locally-grown produce and goods will stay a little later than normal this year. 

Nearly ten thousand people every Saturday during the summer visit the downtown farmers market, so this year vendors will stay open an extra  hour. Kim Angeli is Director of the Downtown Farmers Market and she says the extra hour will give people more time and room to browse.
