Rocky Mountain Power has committed to reduce emissions and use more clean energy. Its parent company Berkshire Hathaway Energy took part in an Obama Administration climate pledge signed by 13 major companies on Monday.

Kaysville Suspends Credits for Rooftop Solar Customers

Kaysville residents who want to install solar panels on their houses are discovering that the city has changed its policies, and they won’t get any credit for the excess power they produce.

US Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Gina McCarthy used an appearance in Salt Lake City Friday to advocate for the Obama Administration’s proposed clean power plan.

Freida and Ray Tibbitts have always taken care to turn off lights whenever they leave a room, so they were stunned last fall when their electric bill jumped and the energy report included with the bill showed their home was using twice as much power as the neighbors.

The energy industry has been in Utah’s capital city this week to talk about trends, and one word kept popping up everywhere: clean.

Jack Gerard of the American Petroleum Institute told reporters: “We’re leading the world to improve the cleanliness and energy consumption.”
