Salt Lake City, UT – Hikers in Utah's high country may know it as the Rock Rabbit, or Coney. The American Pika is a small mammal that lives in mountainous areas across the western United States. It requires the cooler temperatures of the higher elevations to survive, and this has put it at the center of recent concerns over climate change.
