Wednesday, March 1: A "Safety Net" for Polygamy

By Doug Fabrizio

Salt Lake City, UT – Attorney General Mark Shurtleff has been looking for ways to support victims of abuse and civil rights violations in Utah's polygamist groups. His "safety net" approach isn't so much about prosecution as it is about reaching out to these communities. Wednesday on RadioWest, we look at what the program is teaching us about polygamist culture, and ask if the disturbing dynamics that make the headlines are inherent to the practice.

  • Attorney General Mark Shurtleff's Office will hold a Town Hall Meeting on Wednesday, March 1 to discuss Polygamy Issues. The event is open to the public, and will be held from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the University of Utah, Fine Arts Building Auditorium. For more information, click here or call 538-1753.
