Salt Lake City, UT – When Rosie and Kelli O'Donnell chartered a ship to offer gays and lesbians a welcoming, family-centered vacation, 500 families signed on. Despite being confronted on Nassau by angry protestors -- a first time experience in prejudice for many of the young children on the trip -- the O'Donnells, parents of four, created an environment defined by love. RadioWest continues its Sundance coverage as Doug talks to director Shari Cookson about filming the cruise, and about what "family" means in today's society.
All Aboard! Rosie's Family Cruise can be seen Wednesday, January 25th at 8:30 p.m. at the Prospector Square Theatre in Park City. It will also air Thursday, January 26 at 6:00 p.m. at the Tower Theatre in Salt Lake City. For more information, visit Sundance Film Festival or call 435-940-8909.
