Washington, DC – Democratic Congressman Jim Matheson has voiced his opposition to a plan to import radioactive waste from Italy and bring it to Utah. Last week, the Utah Radiation Control Board unanimously approved a letter urging federal regulators to deny Energy Solutions the license it needs to bring the waste here. But as Sara Sciammacco reports from our Capitol News Connection, the rest of Utah's Congressional delegation has no problem with importing the Italian waste.
