New Oreans, LA – In January, three women from Salt Lake City decided to travel to New Orleans five months after Hurricane Katrina. The trio spent the month volunteering, talking to area residents and rediscovering the beauty of New Orleans. They created The New Orleans Project, an in-depth multimedia presentation of photography, audio interviews and performance poetry. The presentation is featured in the Satl Lake City Library's auditorium this weekend during the Utah Arts Festival. Beth Hoffman shares with us some of the audio she collected during her journey to New Orleans. Audio, poetry and photography from the New Orleans Project will be featured in the auditorium of the downtown Salt Lake City Public Library.
