By Jennifer Napier-Pearce

Salt Lake City, UT – Growing crops in Utah's most populous county is more the exception than the rule. But a proposal to convert Salt Lake County's open space into farm land is starting to take root. KUER's Jennifer Napier-Pearce asked County Councilman Jim Bradley - who sponsored the urban farm plan - about the origins of the idea.

Salt Lake County's urban farming program is being featured at the Urban Farming Conference happening at the Utah Cultural Celebration Center in West Valley City. Click here for more information.
