Tuesday, January 31: Elizabeth the First

By Doug Fabrizio

Salt Lake City, UT – Elizabeth the First, who ascended to the English throne in 1533, held her 45-year reign with "the heart and stomach of a king." An exhibit at the Salt Lake City Public Library examines her long and colorful life, and the brilliance that helped her transform England into one of the most powerful countries in the world. Doug talks to exhibit curator Clark Hulse, author of Elizabeth I: Ruler and Legend, and exhibit consultant Carole Levin, author of The Heart and Stomach of a King: Elizabeth I and the Politics of Sex and Power.

Elizabeth I: Ruler and Legend can be seen at the downtown Salt Lake City Public Library through February 16. For more information, call the library at 801-524-8200 or visit them on-line
