Tuesday, February 14: A Strong West Wind

Author and Book Critic Gail Caldwell
Author and Book Critic Gail Caldwell

By Doug Fabrizio

Salt Lake City, UT – Pulitzer prize winning critic Gail Caldwell poses a complicated question in the first line of her new memoir -- How do we become who we are? "A Strong West Wind" is Caldwell's journey -- from the daughter of a World War II veteran in the Texas Panhandle to a passionate rebel navigating the turbulent 60s. She will be in Salt Lake City later this week, and joins Doug Fabrizio to talk about how place, family, art and love mold us all.

Gail Caldwell will read and sign "A Strong West Wind" on Thursday, February 16th at 7:00 p.m. The event will be held at the King's English Bookshop, 1511 South 1500 East in Salt Lake City. For more information, visit them on-line or call 484-9100.
