Thursday, February 9: The Failure of the War on Terror

Daniel Benjamin
Daniel Benjamin

By Doug Fabrizio

Salt Lake City, UT – Is the war on terror making Americans safer, or enflaming radical Islamic groups around the world? Former White House advisor and National Security Council member Daniel Benjamin argues that we are losing -- that four years after September 11, we are no closer to "victory." Benjamin, co-author of the book The Next Attack, is in Salt Lake City this week, and joins Doug Fabrizio to talk about his research and about his strategy for getting it right.

Daniel Benjamin will speak at Westminster College in the Vieve Gore Concert Hall on Thursday, February 9 at 7 p.m. His speech, "The Next Attack: The Failure of the War on Terror," is presented as part of the college's Kim T. Adamson Lecture on International Studies. Following his talk, Benjamin will sign copies of his books. The event is free and open to the public. For more information, visit Westminster College on-line or call 832-2460.
