Salt Lake City, UT – Arnold Thomas had everything going for him as a teenager. He was an All-State football and basketball player in Nevada, looking forward to playing in college. But his father's suicide sent him into a tailspin, and in 1988 he shot himself in the face. After years of struggle to overcome substance abuse and learning to cope with blindness, Arnold Thomas is now speaking to groups around the country about suicide prevention. KUER's Dan Bammes has this profile.
