Special Session Cuts Income Tax, Allows Sales Tax Increase

Salt Lake City, UT – After months of political wrangling, Utah lawmakers signed off on a bill yesterday to change the way Utahns pay their income taxes and another allowing counties to place a sales tax increase before voters to pay for transportation projects including light rail, commuter rail and roads.
