September 20: Through the Lens | Mr. Gaga

Ohad Naharin, artistic director of the Batsheva Dance Company, is regarded as one of the most important choreographers in the world. Meeting him at a critical turning point in his personal life, this spirited and insightful documentary will introduce you to a man with great artistic integrity and an extraordinary vision.

Join us Friday, September 20th at 7:00PM at the Rose Wagner Center (138 W Broadway) for a free film screening of Mr. Gaga followed by a post-film discussion and performance with Repertory Dance Theatre. This screening is presented as part of our monthly Through The Lens series in partnership with RadioWest and Utah Film Center.

Film is free and open to the public. No tickets needed.

POST-FILM DISCUSSION: Linda C. Smith, Executive/Artistic Director of Repertory Dance Theatre, and RDT dancers, moderated by RadioWest host Doug Fabrizio.

PERFORMANCE: Repertory Dance Theatre will perform “By the Snake” by Noa Zuk and Ohad Fishof, a piece commissioned by RDT in 2014. Noa Zuk danced with the Batsheva Dance Company for nine years under the direction of Ohad Naharin, and is an internationally renowned teacher of the Gaga movement language.
