Search Narrows for Gene Linked to Autism

By Dan Bammes

Salt Lake City, UT – Scientists have known for a long time that autism runs in families. Now a team of researchers at the University of Utah has narrowed the search for a gene linked to the disorder by using the state's unique database of genealogical records and focusing on one family. KUER's Dan Bammes talks with Hilary Coon, research associate professor of psychiatry at the University of Utah School of Medicine.
