Payson Family Drops Discrimination Lawsuit Against Boy Scouts Of America

Apr 5, 2018

A Payson family is withdrawing their lawsuit against the Boy Scouts of America now that the organization has agreed to help their Boy Scout who has Down syndrome reach his Eagle rank.

The Salt Lake Tribune reports Logan Blythe will be offered resources to make the top rank as a Boy Scout attainable by the 15-year-old.

The family filed suit March 13th after local scout council officials approved, and then, the next day, suspended Logan's Eagle project. Logan's parents sued for a minimum of one dollar and for their son to be reinstated and accommodated within the Scouts.
