No Divine Strake, Tax Reform Moves Ahead

Salt Lake City, UT – After weeks of negotiation, Republican leaders on Utah's Capitol Hill have agreed on the major details of a tax plan that would mean ALL Utahns pay their taxes under a new system and a lower rate. House lawmakers also signed off on two bills to help the state's teachers make ends meet. But first, KUER's Jenny Brundin reports on the biggest news of the day, the announcement from the Defense Threat Reduction Agency that it was cancelling Divine Strake, a proposed massive explosion at the Nevada Test Site.
