This weekend, the Utah Department of Transportation begins moving bridges into place along Interstate 80 between State Street and 13th East. The first move is planned for this Saturday night and Sunday morning.
John Montoya is UDOT's project manager for the I-80 reconstruction. This method of replacing bridges is more expensive than building them in place, but he says that's going to get the project done much sooner.
