Mormon Leader Thomas S. Monson Released From Hospital

Apr 6, 2017

Thomas S. Monson, the president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, has been released from the hospital after being admitted Monday.

A statement from a church spokesman released Thursday says, "President Monson was released from the hospital last evening, and plans to resume his normal schedule and duties today."

An earlier statement the spokesman said Monson wasn't feeling well on Monday and received treatment and fluids during his more than two-day hospital stay.

Monson also missed two of last weekend's five General Conference sessions due to feeling "weary."
