Legislative Session Ends with Unfinished Business

By Jenny Brundin

Salt Lake City, UT – Utah lawmakers adjourned their 45-day legislative session at midnight last night, not quite completing their $9.5-billion dollar budget. They failed to pass a $69-million dollar proposal to lower the income tax rate, ensuring that Governor Jon Huntsman will call them back into a special legislative session to determine the nature of the tax cut. And that was just one of the reasons many are calling this legislative session "historic." KUER's Jenny Brundin reports.
