Salt Lake City, UT – 25 years ago today, Mark Chapman shot John Lennon at the entrance to Lennon's apartment building in New York City. Ten years later, Fred Fogo made the murder and its impact on the broader society the subject of his PhD disseration at the University of Utah. That became the book I Read the News Today. Fogo discusses Lennon's legacy as a musician and as a symbol of his generation with KUER's Dan Bammes.
