Friday, October 21: In So Many Words

By Doug Fabrizio

Salt Lake City, UT – Stephen Goff's life changed dramatically after a stroke left him with aphasia. Previously an outspoken father and salesman, the condition reduced his vocabulary to just a few words. "In So Many Words" is an intimate portrait of Stephen and his daughter Teresa's relationship, and their efforts to bring awareness about aphasia to the general public. Doug Fabrizio talks to Teresa Goff about the family's journey, and her remarkable story. In So Many Words aired on CBC Radio's "The Sunday Edition" in June 2004, and won the Radio Impact Award from the 2004 Third Coast Audio Festival. (Repeat)
