Friday, January 27: Video Games and Violence

By Doug Fabrizio

Salt Lake City, UT – Swirling around the concerns about violence in movies, television and video games is a question about the effect of all of these images on young people's developing minds. Studies that draw a direct connection between brutality on a screen and real-life behavior have been hard to come by, but for many people common sense suggests that tens of thousands of violent images kids see as they grow have some effect. This year, Utah House Bill 257, sponsored by Representative David Hogue, is raising the question again. Doug Fabrizio talks to Hogue and others about the impact of the images of violence.
