Former UTA Board Member Charged With Concealing Earnings In Transit Deal

A federal grand jury has handed down an indictment against a former Utah Transit Authority board member. Real estate developer Terry Diehl faces 12 counts of filing false declarations and concealing assets.

Federal charges allege he misrepresented more than one million dollars in income related to development at a UTA Frontrunner Station in Draper.

The charges came Wednesday afternoon, a day after UTA entered into a cooperation agreement with federal investigators.  He served on UTA’s board from 2001 to 2011, when he resigned amid conflict-of-interest allegations.
