Salt Lake City, UT – Eunice Kennedy Shriver is perhaps best remembered as the founder of the Special Olympics... but another important legacy lives on at the University of Utah. Mrs. Shriver also founded the Community of Caring, a character education program that reaches 12-hundred schools across the United States and Canada. It's been part of the university's College of Education since 2004. Dean Mike Hardman worked as an education advisor to the Kennedy Foundation and counts himself among the many personal friends of Eunice Kennedy Shriver. He spoke to KUER's Dan Bammes.
