Moab, UT – The Canyon Country Zephyr, a bi-monthly alternative paper covering southeast Utah, was born back in 1989, literally the day author Edward Abbey died. The publisher was Jim Stiles, who came to Moab from Kentucky in 1976, and following Abbey's footsteps, served for 10 years as a ranger at nearby Arches National Park.

Now, just as a new book and a related documentary about his work are receiving critical acclaim, Stiles has announced the end of the Zephyr and left the country. Jon Kovash reports from Moab.
