Salt Lake City, UT – When you talk to a blogger, you just may lose your job. That's the lesson Tooele Transcript Bulletin weekly columnist Bob Henline learned after he told Salt Lake Tribune blogger Glen Warchol about a column of his that was killed. He told Warchol the reason editor Jeff Barrus rejected the column: that he wanted to provide readers with a diversity of topics. The column in question was about an incident in which a tanker filled with toxic waste leaked from a hose that had been repaired with duct tape at EnergySolution's facility. The Transcript Bulletin didn't cover the story. KUER's Jenny Brundin spoke with editor Jeff Barrus but first, she spoke with columnist Bob Henline.
