Salt Lake City, UT – Bennion Spencer is best known for his years in Utah as veteran television reporter. He also helped establish the Dick Nourse Center for Mass Communications and Journalism at Dixie State College. He's now running as the Democratic candidate in the state's Third Congressional District. Spencer began our interview talking about the country's financial meltdown. The interview was recorded before the weekend negotiations over bailout legislation. Spencer tells KUER's Jenny Brundin that laissez faire capitalism that's highly unregulated doesn't work.
