L'Anarchiste plays at Urban Lounge on Friday, July 10th.

This week, Betsy Burton reviews The Oregon Trail: An American Journey(Simon & Schuster) by Rinker Buck.  Betsy says it’s an adventure “replete with raging rivers, runaway wagons, and a love story with mules.”

Then Austen Diamond introduces us to the epic folk music of L’anarchiste.  Their next album drops Friday, July 10th, at Urban Lounge.

Before that, surf's up at Red Butte Gardens.  It’s Beach Boys co-founder Brian Wilson on Thursday, July 9th.

Then on Saturday, July 11th, catch Blitzen Trapper at The State Room.  They’ll also be at Snow Basin Resort on Sunday for a free show—part of the resort's Blues, Brews, & BBQ Concert Series.
