Father John Misty plays as part of the Twilight Concert Series on Thursday, July 23rd.

Betsy couldn’t pick just one book this week.  Instead, she introduces us to the mystery novels of Michael Robotham, including his latest, "Life or Death" (Mulholland Books).  She says his books are “well-written, intricately plotted, chockfull of well-conceived people for whom the reader bleeds, and they’re beyond suspenseful.”

Joshua Tillman has released a handful of solo albums, and he used to be the drummer for Fleet Foxes.  Nowadays he’s making terrific, unsentimental music under the name Father John Misty.  Catch his Twilight Concert Series performance on Thursday, July 23rd.

Grunge rock pioneers Alice in Chains plays at The Depot on Monday, July 20th.  The show is sold out.  Check The Depot’s website for updates.

Steve Miller Band holds court at Red Butte Garden on Tuesday, July21st.  This show is also sold out, and Red Butte ticket sales are final.
