The Budos Band perform at The State Room on Thursday, February 18.

In The Relic Master (Simon & Schuster), satirist Christopher Buckley turns his gaze to the Holy Roman Empire in the 16th century and the sale of religious relics.  Betsy Burton says the book “brilliantly satirizes the practice of manipulating the masses.”

Then, Austen Diamond says that The Budos Band’s studio recordings do a great job of capturing the essence of their live concerts.  Still, there’s nothing quite like a live show.  The Budos Band will be at The State Room on Thursday, February 18th.

G. Love & Special Sauce will bring their iconic blues and hip-hop to Park City Live on Tuesday, February 16th.

And on Wednesday, February 17th, Canadian rock band Metric will perform at The Depot.

Music heard on this Books & Beats:

1: “Chicago Falcon” by The Budos Band

2: “Baby’s Got Sauce” by G. Love & Special Sauce.”

3: “Help I’m Alive” by Metric
