Salt Lake City, UT – Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has been at the forefront of many environmental battles. He's the president of WaterKeeper Alliance, which strives to protect rivers, lakes and streams around the world. One of the biggest threats to waterways - and human health - is mercury contamination. The Great Salt Lake has one of the highest levels of mercury contamination in the country. Kennedy will be in Park City this Sunday evening to discuss the hazards of mercury on the nation's waterway. The discussion will follow the screening of the short documentary, The Cove: Mercury Rising. He spoke with KUER's Jenny Brundin about the scope of the problem.
