David Gilmour and son Jesse. (Thomas Allen Publishers)
David Gilmour and son Jesse. (Thomas Allen Publishers)

By Doug Fabrizio

Salt Lake City, UT – When film critic David Gilmour's son Jesse was 15 years old, he was in trouble and he hated school. David tried helping, but nothing seemed to work. That's when the two struck upon a deal: Jesse could drop out of school on one condition. He had to sit down with his father and watch three movies a week. David has written a book about the experience, and Wednesday he joins Doug to talk about the relationship between father and son - and about the life lessons that can be learned at the movies.
