Salt Lake City, UT – Lena Fowler is Vice Chair of the Navajo Water Rights Commission and she says that one of her first thoughts every morning is "do we have enough water?" The new documentary "The American Southwest: Are We Running Dry?" says there is a looming water crisis in our region - and it will affect us all. Thursday on RadioWest, filmmaker Jim Thebaut joins Doug to talk about the causes of our record low water levels and what communities are doing to surmount the scarcity.

  • Thursday, September 25th at 7:00 p.m., the Salt Lake City Film Center will host a screening of Jim Thebaut's "The American Southwest: Are We Running Dry?" The event is free and takes place at the Fort Douglas Post Theatre on the campus of the University of Utah. For more information call 746-7000 or click here
  • Jim Thebaut will will also be on hand for screenings of the film on Monday, September 29th, 7:00 p.m. at Wildcat Theatre Shepherd Union Hall at Weber State University and Wednesday, October 1st at 7:00 p.m. at Covey Arts Center in Provo. Click here for information on these events.
