\"Huaraches\" like those worn by the Tarahumara Indians in Mexico. From Barefoot Ted's Adventures

By Doug Fabrizio

Salt Lake City, UT – Journalist Christopher McDougall says we think about running all wrong in the West. We believe it will hurt, it's a sort of punishment for eating and that we need special equipment to do it. When McDougall sustained his own injury, he had a lot of questions about running. That's when he met the Tarahumara Indians in Mexico. They run hundreds of miles - in sandals - and have a blast doing it. Christopher McDougall joins Doug to explain why humans are "Born to Run."
