But what of pleasure and happiness? Animal behavior research scientist Jonathan Balcombe argues that positive feelings are evolutionarily adaptive, and he says that contrary to popular myth, survival and pleasure are actually quite compatible. Thursday, Balcombe is joining us to talk about how animals enjoy themselves, and what that means ethically for both science and society.
